Log-Off (Close) is called by clicking the Close [X] button.

Mandatory Prerequisites

Prior to Logging On, refer to the following Topics:

These fields are accessible to the Basic and Full Options Log-On screens:

 

Division: this is the Division you are logging into.

 

User: this is the User ID you are logging in with.

 

Password: this is where you enter your password.

 

Options: click to expand access to more Options.

These fields are accessible to the Full Options Log-On screen:

 

Database: this is the list of databases you can log into.

 

Connect to Database Automatically: click this check box if you would like the Log-On / Navigator screen to automatically open when Progen is run. Unselect this check box to force manual control of the Log-On process, which uses the following:

 

Division: this is the Division you are logging into.

 

User: this is the User ID you are logging in with.

 

Password: this is where you enter your password.

 

Home: this is a list of screens from which the Home page can be selected. It will automatically open after successful logging in.

 

Day-Month-Year: click to access the Password Expiry / Change function. The date shown on the button is the date that the current Password will expire.

 

Options: click to contract access to fewer Options.

Old: this is where you enter your old password.

 

New: this is where you enter your new password.

 

Confirm: this is where you enter your new password again to confirm you have entered it correctly.

How Do I : Log-On to Progen

  1. Double click the Progen icon on your desktop.
  2. If the Log-On screen does not show automatically, click the Ribbon tool-bar push button: Log-On.
  3. At the Division field, locate the Division you are logging into.
  4. At the User field, enter the User ID you are logging in as.
  5. In the Password field enter your password and press [Enter] or click the close button. If the password is incorrect an Incorrect Password error message will be displayed. Otherwise, the Log-On screen will close and you will be logged in.

Depending on how your system is configured the Division and User fields may remember the values you last logged on with.

If the Log-On screen did not show automatically when you started the system, click the Options push button to expand the window and tick the Connect to Database automatically option.

How Do I : Change my Password

  1. Click the Ribbon tool-bar push button: Log-On.
  2. After the Log-On window has opened, click the Options expansion button.
  3. Click the button with a Date on it to access the Password Expiry / Change function. The date shown on the button is the date that the current Password will expire.
  4. In the Old field enter your current/expired password.
  5. In the New field enter the new password.
  6. In the Confirm field enter the new password again.
  7. Click the Application tool-bar push button: Change. A password change confirmation message will be displayed showing the new expiry date.
  8. Click the OK push button to continue.

How Do I : Change my Home screen

  1. Click the Ribbon tool-bar push button: Log-On.
  2. Click the Options button to expand the screen and show the other fields.
  3. At the Home field select your preferred home page.
  4. Press [Enter] or click the close button. The selected home page will now open.

How Do I : Change to a different Database

  1. Click the Ribbon tool-bar push button: Log-On.
  2. Click the Options button to expand the screen and show the other fields.
  3. At the Database field select the required database.
  4. Press [Enter] or click the close button. You will now be connected to the selected database.

How Do I : Log Off

There are 2 ways to Log-Off from the system:

  1. Click the Close [X] button or
  2. Select: Menu - File - Exit.
